The Lakes and the other 1980s streets in 89117 have had thirty-plus years of hard water and, in plenty of houses, sections of aging supply that put grit in the cold aerators. That is a sediment problem sitting next to the usual chlorine taste. A softener, if you add one, still wants a sediment stage ahead of it or the resin fouls. We see that most often in houses that “had a softener once” and gave up when it clogged.
Chinatown is a restaurant corridor, but the houses tucked off Spring Mountain are still residential jobs: a garage or a side-yard main, not a grease interceptor. We do not quote commercial filtration for these houses. Peccole Ranch attached homes sometimes have no garage wall to mount a pair of big housings. In those, an under-sink carbon or RO system is the install that fits, and we say that instead of promising a whole-home rack that has nowhere to go.
Dispatch is from Kingdom Plumbing, 9960 W Cheyenne Ave, Suite 140, Las Vegas, NV 89129, (702) 623-9394. White scale on the shower is hardness. Filtration will not remove it.
Valley-wide, this work lives on our water filtration page. The neighborhood overview is our Spring Valley plumber page. Hard-water scale is a different system: water softener installation in Spring Valley.
