Water Filtration in North Las Vegas

A lot of Aliante and Sky Pointe garages were plumbed with a loop for a softener and nothing else. Homeowners who added the softener later still complain that the shower smells like the pool. That smell is chlorine, and the softener was never going to remove it. A carbon housing on that same garage wall, downstream of the softener, is the usual fix.

Eldorado and the older streets around Craig Ranch are different. The complaint there is more often grit in the aerators than a brand-new loop with no equipment on it. We put a sediment stage first so the carbon does not load up in a month. Reverse osmosis, when someone wants it for cooking, goes under the kitchen sink with its own faucet. We do not run RO to every hose bib.
