Water Heater Installation in Summerlin

Summerlin houses in The Trails, The Hills, Sun City Summerlin, and the villages around Downtown Summerlin were built with more bathrooms than the central valley’s older stock. A 50-gallon tank that was adequate in 1998 runs out when two showers and a laundry cycle overlap. In 89134, 89144, and 89145 that shows up as a lukewarm second shower, not a dramatic leak, until the tank finally gives up in the garage.

Some of these homes already have a recirculation line so the master bath is not waiting on hot water. Replacing the heater without reconnecting that loop, or without checking the check valve on it, is how the new tank fails the “we still wait” test. We trace the return before we set the new unit. Tankless is a real option here when the gas meter and the exterior wall can take the vent. It is not automatic, and a lot of Sun City garages are happier with a properly sized tank.
