A plumbing emergency in a large custom home is first a problem of finding things. The Ridges sits at the elevated western edge of Summerlin where the valley floor starts climbing toward Red Rock, and these houses are custom and semi-custom rather than tract, so no two are plumbed the same way. There may be two water heaters or a tankless bank, a recirculation loop with a pump and check valves, and isolation valves that shut off one wing without touching the rest.
That means the single fastest thing you can do tonight is know which valve matters. Kingdom Plumbing answers 24 hours a day with a person who can dispatch rather than a service that writes your message down. We hold Nevada Contractors License #0085422, and dispatch for The Ridges runs from our main office on West Cheyenne Avenue, with our Summerlin South shop on Lenoir Street also sitting on the west side of the valley.
The second thing is the gate. Tell us how your guard gate and overnight guest authorization work when you call, because a technician parked at a call box is a technician not fixing your leak. Then the price: one flat rate for the job, approved by you before anything opens. Call (702) 840-5037.
Kingdom Plumbing is a top-rated Las Vegas plumber, and if this can't wait, our 24/7 emergency plumbers dispatch around the clock.

First Ten Minutes in a House With More Than One Shutoff
Isolate the smallest thing that stops the water. If you know the wing or zone valve for the area that is leaking, close that and the rest of the house stays live. If you do not, close the main. When the trouble is at a water heater, close the cold inlet valve on top of that unit and shut it down, which means the gas control to off or the breaker for an electric unit. On a recirculating system, kill power to the pump as well so it is not pushing water through a line that has already failed.
Then do the mapping once, in daylight, and never again at 2 AM. Photograph the mechanical room and label the main, the wing isolation valves, each water heater's cold inlet, the recirculation pump breaker, and the gas shutoff. Keep the photos in your phone and tell your house manager where they are. It is twenty minutes of work and it is the difference between shutting one wing down and shutting the whole house down while you look for a valve.
When you call, tell us what you closed and whether it stopped the water. On a bespoke system that one answer narrows the failure faster than anything else you can say, and it decides whether we bring a locator, a pump, or a valve kit.
Gate Access at Night Is Part of the Emergency
Access to The Ridges is through guard-gated entries, with Charleston Boulevard and Town Center Drive as the main approaches from the rest of Summerlin. During business hours the process is routine. After midnight it is often different staffing and a different authorization path, and that is where after-hours calls stall.
So give us three things when you book: which gate to use, how overnight guest access is handled there, and a phone number the gate can actually reach at that hour. If a property manager or a house manager holds the authorization, give us that name too. We sort it out at scheduling rather than handing it back to you while water is running, and it costs you nothing. It only ever costs anything when a technician is left waiting outside.
Tell us about the property itself as well. Long private drives, service entrances, and side-yard or basement-level mechanical rooms are normal here, and we would rather walk in the right door with the right tools than carry the wrong ones around the house.
What Fails Here, and What Does Not Need Replacing Tonight
No hot water in a house this size is usually not the water heater. It is a recirculation pump that has quit, a check valve that has stopped checking, or a loop that was never balanced across the footprint, so one wing waits far longer than another. Diagnosing the loop is the job. Replacing a perfectly good heater is not, and an honest overnight answer is frequently that this is a pump and it costs a fraction of what you were braced for.
Pressure is the second one. Elevation change inside a tall house means an upper floor fixture and a ground floor fixture do not see the same pressure, so a failing regulator shows up as banging pipes, fixtures behaving differently floor to floor, and supply lines that let go with nobody near them. Static pressure takes minutes to test and it is the test most often skipped.
Fixtures are the third. High-end and imported valves do not take generic cartridges, so the honest emergency plan is to stop the water tonight, identify the actual valve body, and come back once with the part that fits rather than guessing twice and leaving a shower out of service longer. If a replacement genuinely is the answer, published local ranges are $3,500 to $6,500 for a tankless installation and $1,600 to $3,500 for a tank, and those are ranges, not a quote. Our water heater service page covers the multi-unit and tankless side, and what plumbing repairs cost in Las Vegas carries the rest of the ranges.
Protecting Finished Surfaces While the Water Is Still Running
In these houses the plumbing repair is often the small part of the bill. Stone, slab millwork, plaster, and wood floors are what get expensive, and they take on water quickly and quietly. Containment is therefore the first job, not the cleanup afterward.
That means covering and lifting before anything else: rugs up, cabinet contents out, cabinet doors propped so air reaches the wet side, water kept off stone and away from the base of millwork, and photographs of all of it before cleanup starts because the insurer will want them. We protect surfaces as part of the work and we plan for the extra time it takes. It is not a line item that appears at the end.
The Ridges sits in the 89135 ZIP code on the far western side of Summerlin, and dispatch runs from our West Cheyenne Avenue office with our Lenoir Street shop on the same side of town. A number of minutes is not something we are willing to invent for you, and on a property this size the walk from the gate to the mechanical room is part of it anyway. What you get is an answer, a licensed plumber routed to the address, and precise instructions on what to close while you wait. For scheduled work see The Ridges plumbing and the wider Summerlin page.
